SmartTalent is seeking a Seasonal Customer Service Representative to provide customer service, warranty, repair, and technical information to consumers and dealers who contact the company via phone, web-site or e-mail, and/or in person.

Essential job functions

1) Act as initial contact for consumer/retailer support with immediate response to the 800 consumer line and email communication and provide technical repair and warranty question support. Provide resolution to customer conflict with a professional and technically adept manner.

2) Monitor and manage the use of the Repair Program/Data entry program.

3) Maintain working relationships with Project Managers, Product Specialists, R& D, Marketing and all internal customers to ensure that lines of communication are open for all product issues and information. Work closely with QA & Product managers concerning product failures and consumer inquiries.

4) Cross train within the Warranty and Repair Department to gain an understanding of all aspects of the position and fill in when necessary.

5) Responsible for organizing, restocking and managing small parts inventory. Ship replacement parts to consumers and dealers as needed with same day action.

6) Support Sales, Reps, and Dealer Service Reps as well as International Distributors with technical, warranty and repair information, and small parts.

Minimum requirements

1). Excellent verbal and written skills in English.

2). Pleasant, courteous and efficient telephone manner.

3). Ability to have excellent customer service approach

4). Capacity to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of dealers, reps, and consumers on a wide range of issues.

5). Familiarity with Microsoft Office 2010 Software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook

6). Previous employment in the outdoor industry related to customer service and/or retail.

7). Knowledge and familiarity with our products.

8). Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

Physical requirements

Must be able to sit for an eight hour shift
Must be able to use the computer for an eight hour shift.
