Smart Talent is seeking a Purchasing and Logistics Specialist for a client in Woodinville. The ideal candidate for this position will be a computer-savvy, resourceful quick learner with strong problem-solving skills, as well as customer service and logistics experience

This is a Direct Hire position paying $23-$27 an hour DOE along with a benefit package. This is a day shift position M-F 730am 4pm. It is located in Woodinville.

Essential Duties:
Issue Purchase Orders, including gathering quotes and other necessary data from multiple sources prior to purchase
Monitor and track Purchase Orders, both domestic and international
Coordinate with inventory team to assist with purchase forecasts
Manage and arrange all international logistics for ocean and air freight shipments (FCL & LCL), both import (inbound) & export (outbound), including cost/quote analysis
Process and track sales orders for direct shipment ( Drop Ship ) from suppliers directly to customers, both domestically and internationally; including purchasing, sales order entry, logistics coordination and customer service
Work directly with international customers on the life cycle of an export order and shipment (including customer service; order entry; coordination of export arrangements; communication of order details, documentation and logistics with customer up to point of delivery)
Work with suppliers and vendors on the life cycle of an import shipment [issue Purchase Order; control and execute logistics with freight forwarder and track during transit; coordinate import entry with customs broker to ensure timely container clearance; arrange delivery via best way, both to facility and other Drop Ship locations]
Work with suppliers and trade partners to ensure best pricing & smooth operations
Collaboration with both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate, on-time payments to trade partners

Basic Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
Must have at least 2 years experience in purchasing and logistics, including customer service and order processing
High attention to detail with outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (with focus on Outlook, Word and Excel)
Must possess outstanding verbal & written communication skills and work effectively with customers, team members, vendors and logistics providers
Possess strong math skills, including calculation of percentages and discounts
A self-starter who is results driven, customer-focused and resilient.
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work individually as well as effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders
Must be a self-starter and able to follow-through with tasks in a timely manner
Ability to analyze and make process improvement recommendations
Ability to transition quickly between multiple projects and work well under pressure

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with order management and shipping software
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or similar
Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing and sourcing
Experience working with International Supply Chain and Logistics
Experience interfacing with customers and/or suppliers both domestically and globally
